Late afternoon Session- (5:30PM – 7:30PM) - $35 per person, per session

Depending on the number of sessions you would like to participate in, please specify the dates in the notes upon checkout.

What you’ll do

  • Learn the fundamentals: cutting, piecing, sewing and pressing — the key skills that power quilting.

  • Understand the anatomy of a quilt: the top, the batting, the backing and how they come together.

  • Choose and work on a beginner-friendly project (for example a lap quilt or table runner) that walks you through each stage from start to finish.

  • Gain confidence with simple tools and techniques, so you can continue quilting on your own after the workshop.

  • Have fun in a welcoming setting — craft with others, share ideas, ask questions and enjoy the process.

Who it’s for

  • Absolute beginners: if you’ve never quilted before, this workshop will show you how.

  • Sewers with some experience who want to expand into quilting.

  • Makers who want to try a new craft, refresh their skills or simply spend a relaxing creative time with others.

What you’ll learn

  • How to accurately cut fabric using a rotary cutter, mat and ruler.

  • Piecing blocks together with correct seam allowance (typically ¼″) for clean and accurate results.

  • Pressing and preparing your quilt top so it lies flat and neat.

  • Assembling your quilt sandwich (top + batting + backing) and finishing with binding or edge treatment.

  • Tips and tricks: colour choice, fabric selection, tools to keep you moving forward after the class.
